Oklahoma Shakes Day Thirty-nine

We worked straight through from the beginning of stage combat workshop at 8 a.m., to the second dress rehearsal for G&D in the afternoon, through the evening performance of CHAA. On stage for CHAA, I felt exhausted and wired, and after a slightly weird, fumbling start, we managed to get an audience of of older, sober patrons--as well as a few children under the age of ten--laughing. Riley and Aaron both said it was a far better show than on opening night. We don't get to do it again until next Wednesday, though. Dang, it's not easy to keep a show fresh, doing it once a week. Today, we have a final dress for G&D, then change-over the set, and perform Henry in the evening. I skipped stage combat this morning, since there will be little down time later today.
