A Challenging Week Made Better by Friends

I had a challenging first week back, a start on the fall semester not quite on the note of triumph I would have liked after a solid summer of work in summer stock--and made more difficult by some lonesomeness after warm times with a number of friends in Portland, a few weeks ago.  But, in the last few days emails and conversations with a couple of people to whom I feel close made a world of difference, so I'm grateful, and will refrain from complaining.  I'm a fortunate man.

During the next two weeks, I'll be working on a scene from R&J and one from Macbeth.  This is my only chance to play Romeo, so I'm gonna have fun.  And, as Macduff, I get to slay Macbeth.  You're going down, Hamlin.
