Director : (this) Actor
The most important thing I still need a director for? To give me permission I still don't fully give myself. I'm often not very good until I get a note, any note. I sit on my instincts until the note releases me. Happened today in an Orphans rehearsal.
Jonathan Gonzalez tells me that when we get to rehearsals for As You Like It he wants me to be a "dumb actor," throwing out anything I might know about Jacques. That's a good note for me.
